What We Do

- Through LAFC Chelsea, we provide full and partial scholarships for economically disadvantaged youth to belong to and benefit from the leading soccer academy in the country (an average cost of $2,000 – $3,000 per year per child). We offer scholarships to private high schools, tutoring and mentoring programs, and home stays and living expenses for those players who travel from other states and countries to attend the Academy.
- LAFC aligns itself with individuals and organizations with an established track record of achievement and leadership in their communities. Key program components include:
- Comprehensive interventions in education, healthcare and job creation for the economically disadvantaged
- Futbol programs to convene and empower youth and to serve as the link to above interventions
- Youth focus; Equal opportunity for boys and girls
- Community ownership
- Clear exit strategy
- LAFC will go into an economically distressed area and:
- Build soccer fields, including irrigation, lights, bleachers, etc.
- Set up leagues
- Provide coach and referee training
- Offer clinics and skills training by our world class staff
- Provide uniforms, cleats and equipment to support these leagues
